The Senior Scientist, Biology will be responsible for the development and implementation of in vitro assay systems investigating the interactions between bacterial strains and human cell cultures. The role will report to the Senior Director of Strategy - Microbiome.
Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to: development and implementation of in vitro assay systems to characterize and quantify specific phenotypic features of new and existing bacterial strains within our strain library. Create detailed standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation for each assay system. Create and maintain an appropriate and detailed data management system for results generated. Work closely with other Microbiome R&D team members to integrate process development and facilitate data-sharing. Present results in visual, oral, and written forms to internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate must be able to work in a team environment. Good organizational skills and maintenance of good laboratory practices is key.
Candidate must maintain knowledge of both current cell-culture techniques and any associated technological advancements.
